Club Overview

We are excited to take a deep dive into the amazing world of video editing. We have taken the time to put together a fun course that teaches everything from how to use green screen effects to uploading on You Tube. You will become highly familiar with the freeware video editing program Shotcut. By the end of this program, you are going to be able to take the ideas you have in their heads and convert it into something real. This course is all about creating cool, stunning, eye catchy videos that look like they professionally put together.

Some of the skills that you are going to know includes editing out mistakes, creating cool transitions, eye catching text on screen, background music, sound effects, colour grading, creative advice and more. You are also going to be able to ask personal questions directly over our live zoom chats and get professional advice.

Not only is video editing an exciting activity you can fill your time with, it is also a useful tool to have available for the future. In our modernised world of social media, Facebook, NetFlix, digital bill boards and those unwanted You-Tube ads that we all know too well, video editing is becoming a very practical skill to have. This is only about to become more true as technology develops as well as our reliance on it. More small businesses are relying on videos to promote themselves and the emergence of tech like Face Book advertising makes it easier for them to do so. Many events are now being done over live video streams then also recorded to repost afterwards. Knowing how to use this technology early on in your life and building upon those skills is a great advantage.
